The wedding day started with a trip to Macrina Bakery for coffee, oh and a scrumptious carrot cake! While Celeste got ready later in the morning, Dave picked up the flowers that were ordered from a local store in Ballard. Dave then triple checked the camera set up for Zoom and ensured the Norelius clan would be able to attend.
Celeste’s parents and brother arrived in the afternoon. Before you knew it, it was time for the ceremony. Judge Rosen demonstrated he had done this Zoom wedding thing a few times, calm and composed throughout. Celeste’s father, Craig, walked her ‘down the aisle’, aka the living room, where the two were wed by the fireplace of their Seattle home on a clear winter afternoon.

Dave and Celeste wrote their own wedding vows, which Celeste had a difficult time not crying through. While the couple was unaware, it seems Dot decided this was a good time to get into and snack on a potted plant; she obviously needed more attention!
After the ceremony, both in person and Zoom attendees mingled and toasted the newlyweds. This was the first meeting, albeit virtual, for this newly extended family. Grandma Jeanette stole the show with her infectious laughter and colorful stories.

In all honestly, they couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day; the focus was on family and celebrating the love we have for one another. We are so excited to start 2021 as Mr & Mrs Norelius!
