Here is a quick dump of all of the cool projects we had the opportunity to work on, some individual and some team projects:
Shoes go here
Originally this shoe rack was planned for the entryway of Celeste’s apartment. Since then it has found a home right by our front door. We took inspiration from a few trips to room and board / restoration hardware.
Acoustic Diffusion
Mostly this project was an effort to create something using scrapts that were available in the garage. Made Walnut, Fir, Cherry, Oak, this Acoustic diffuser is made of 18×18 individually cut, sanded, and placed wood blocks. Turns out that 1.5ft x 1.5ft is not quite enough to make a noticable impact on the large open space we have… but its pretty!
Bread
We’ve heard stories about Bert and Debbie’s bake-offs and we’re pretty sure that Celeste’s bread is ready to be thrown in for judging. It started with a simple Sourdough, but quickly grew into a trio of Sourdough, Pizza, and Bagels. They are all quite amazing! Take a look!
Rings
How could I (dave) resist the urge to make wedding rings? Well… I couldn’t. So a few weeks before the ceremony I set out on a journey to create what will a reminder of the bond we share.

These rings started out as some Walnut and Birds Eye Maple. Veneers were cut and steam bent to a small circle, then glued around an appropriately sized mandrel. Careful shaping on a makeshift cnc lathe to form perfect circles and cut off at just the right width. They were rounded and sanded smooth and polished to a semi-gloss finish.
Norelius Toolworks
One of our longest running projects has been an effort to create some lovely hand saws. Celeste and Dave each hand made a panel saw, and Dave made several back saws. See more about our saw creations here and enjoy the sample photos below!
Wedding Favors
We love the idea of personalized wine flutes but thought that it would be interesting to do ourselves! Using a vinyl cutter we created a design that captured the various facets of the day that we wanted, including our custom logo we designed ourself.
Pizza Time
After creating some excellent pizza dough we needed a pizza peel. A perfect project opportunity. The design is a shared iteration from a basic pizza peel and the execution is shared as well!
